For parents and guardians
You want to know it's moving. They want to be trusted.
Both are reasonable. Admissions StoryMap gives you a clear view of how the work is going — how much discovery is done, how many drafts are underway, which deadlines are next — while the writing itself stays your student's to share or not.
Getting started takes a few minutes
- Step 1
Create your account
You get a parent account — separate from your student's, always.
- Step 2
Add your student
We'll create a secure invitation link for them to claim their own space.
- Step 3
Watch it move
Once they start, your dashboard fills in with real progress.
What you see, and what you don't
What you see
- How much discovery work has been done
- How many moments and story directions exist
- Which drafts are underway and when they were last touched
- Schools, rounds and upcoming deadlines
- Anything your student deliberately shares with you
What you don't
- Their reflections and the moments behind them
- Drafts they haven't shared
- The evidence underneath a shared story direction
This isn't us keeping you out. It's the reason students write honestly here at all — and honest material is what makes the essays good.
More than one guardian
You can invite another parent or guardian into the family, and remove them later. Removing someone ends their access right away.
Each guardian has their own account and their own sign-in. Your student decides separately whether to share any writing with each of you.
